How to Make Money as a Teenager

Let's spare the gist of working as a petrol station or restaurant attendant. All the ideas I'm going to share today can earn you upto a thousand (1,000) dollars a month or more. These are lesser known ways of how to make money, so let's ride along.

1. Social Media Assistant. 

Now, as a blogger and I've been placing teens to help me out with my social media strategy and my social media accounts to help me grow in that area. I'm quite old school so I'm not of the current trends like tik tok and others so I need extra hands staying with all these social media platforms specially Instagram. So I pay them $200 a week depending on what I've been working on. And most of the time what they are working on is to disseminate content ideas and current trends. So if you spend so much time on tik tok and Instagram, why not make money from it?

Now they also help me gain followers as well. So the most impeccable way I've been able to make money on Instagram is to follow influencers who are into the same niche that I am in with much larger followers. What I do is that, I simply go to one of their most recent post and everyone that has likes that post, I go to their pages and like a couple of their pictures, comment on them which would attract them to my own profile to check out whose been liking their post. This has become a good strategy that would result to a lot of followers within a short amount of time. 

If you wanted to get started doing this, we have to get started on who you know. If you know anyone in your family or friends that are trying to grow their social media platforms you can tell them you can help them by trying what I just explain above that helped me grow my social media account. You can start with a low price by charging $10-$15 and hour and then when they see how you growing with it. You can go ahead and increase your cost. If you don't know anyone who needs this service, you can try growing your own account; prove what you know and that would give people the confidence to say "hey! This person has done it over their own account so I'm gonna pay them to do same thing over my account".

So this is one way one can make a nice amount of money from home or in school as a teenager.

2. Picking up dog poop. 

Yes dog poop!.  Someone makes $1000 a week picking up dog poop. Now keep in mind she has a reoccurring weekly customers and she only charges $50 a week per customer. She started this cause she doesn't like picking up their dog's poop and people don't like doing it either, so they would rather pay someone else to do it and hey, she was right. She use Facebook to spread the word about her business but can always go to your neighbors and pitch your business ideas to them ( with you parents consent of course) you can also create flier for your services with how much you charge on it and use that as a way to get clients.

3. Flipping

Rob and Melissa do this with their kids and earn 6 figures yearly. Now flipping is now finding the deal that you want like yard sales and then you flip them for higher sales online and thats how you make your money if the profit. This may be something you want to do with your parents as it involves driving to the different stores and setting up an eBay account. 4. Starting a YouTube Channel

Well, this may not be in an instant money making process but I do know a couple of individuals who make around $2000 a month and it is on autopilot if only you can find a way to rank your video in the search result by finding topic that people are interested in and do a video that answers their questions that would lead to consistent views and aslo consistent money. So you see, you help people by answering lingering questions and they help you by making money through watching your videos.

5. Babysitting

I know you know you can already do this, but it's also another way you can make money from working class parents. All you need to do is inform parents who need baby sitters and state a price per hour for them. Then you can take in their babies and accommodate them till their parents come calling. Sounds easy right?

Conclusion

All these being said, the best job for teens are jobs that would teach you skills that can be used later on in adulthood. Like if you are a social media assistant you can learn so much that by the time you are in adulthood you can run your own agency just from all the experience and knowledge you have gained. So think about the things you want to do when you get old and think of how can archieve them at a young age by just doing simple things, just think smart.
